Kakao announced on the 12th that it has launched the web version of its AI agent app service, ‘Kanana’. With this launch, users can now access Kanana’s features on both mobile and PC.
The web version of Kanana is available through a URL. Existing mobile app users can log in using the same account, while new users can sign up easily with their Kakao account.
In the initial rollout, the web version of Kanana will focus on personal AI mate features, with group chat functionality and other updates in future phases.
On the main screen, users can engage in conversations with their personal AI mate, ‘Nana’, or select from a list of special AI mates displayed on the left side of the screen. Last month, Kakao introduced a significant update to the Kanana mobile app, adding five special AI mates — for tarot reading, fortune-telling, challenges, study coaching, and insurance consultation — to expand the interactive experience with AI.
The web version also includes a new section titled “Learn More About Kanana,” where users can explore various conversation topics, discover how to use different features, and stay updated with the latest news about Kanana.
Kakao plans to gradually introduce more features from the mobile app to the web version.
Jong-han Kim, Performance Leader of Kakao’s Kanana team, said, “We’ve expanded the platform to allow more users to experience Kanana. By gradually adding new features, we aim to extend our mobile-centered AI agent service into a broader environment.”
