VEStellaLab (CEO Sangsu Jung) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Walkk (CEO Omar Pervez), an Indoor Intelligence company based in Oman, to develop an integrated indoor and outdoor navigation solution jointly. The signing ceremony took place on the 6th at the BIBAN event venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Walkk, VEStellaLab’s new partner, specializes in providing Indoor Intelligence and AR navigation solutions for hospitals, exhibition centers, and large-scale festival venues in Oman. The company’s technology analyzes user movement data to optimize indoor navigation routes.
Oman is considered one of the most economically stable countries in the Middle East and is actively pursuing policies for industrial diversification and digital transformation. Walkk has successfully applied its AR navigation and indoor positioning technologies at major national events such as Muscat Nights, LEGO Shows, and the Muscat International Book Fair, establishing itself as a leading tech company in the region.
Through this partnership, VEStellaLab and Walkk plan to combine VEStellaLab’s Physical AI-based spatial intelligence technology with Walkk’s Indoor Intelligence and AR navigation platform to develop a global integrated indoor-outdoor navigation solution. The two companies will also conduct step-by-step proof-of-concept (PoC) tests within smart-city infrastructure across key Middle Eastern hubs.
VEStellaLab’s “Watchmile” solution uses Physical AI technology that integrates world-class indoor positioning and Vision AI to analyze parking space occupancy using only existing CCTV infrastructure. It provides real-time updates on parking availability and guides users to the optimal parking spot based on their preferences. The company’s Physical AI technology also enhances indoor infrastructure, such as CCTV and positioning sensors, enabling autonomous vehicles and robots to use critical spatial data for parking and movement within buildings.
Currently, several facilities, including large public parking lots at Seoul Station and Cheonho Station, KINTEX, residential complexes, and industrial centers, have deployed the Watchmile service.
Sangsu Jung, CEO of VEStellaLab, stated, “Through our partnership with Walkk, we have laid the foundation for an integrated indoor-outdoor navigation ecosystem in the Middle Eastern market. We will continue to drive innovation in the global smart mobility sector through AI and Physical AI convergence technologies.”
