NCSOFT (Co-CEOs Taekjin Kim and Byungmoo Park, hereafter referred to as NC) announced that it will collaborate with leading gaming hardware and tech companies at Korea’s most significant game exhibition, G-STAR 2025.
NC will partner with Samsung Electronics, NVIDIA, Intel, Microsoft, and RAZER to design its booth using a range of cutting-edge gaming hardware. Visitors will experience the upcoming titles “AION2,” set for release on November 19, and the open-world tactical shooter “CINDER CITY,” powered by high-performance hardware integrating the latest technologies.
Samsung Electronics will provide two Odyssey gaming monitor models equipped with its Glare Free technology. NC will use the 27-inch “OLED G6” model, featuring the world’s first 500Hz refresh rate for OLED monitors, to demonstrate AION2 with ultra-smooth visuals. For CINDER CITY, NC will utilize the 27-inch “OLED G5,” optimized for shooting games with a 180Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time.
The first mobile demo of AION2 will be available on Samsung’s latest devices, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold7. Through its collaboration with Samsung, NC has optimized graphics performance and improved FPS (frames per second) by approximately 40%, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.
To deliver a top-tier demo experience, NC will also use NVIDIA’s latest “GeForce RTX 50” series graphics cards. This next-generation GPU line features advanced AI and graphics technologies, offering exceptional performance and efficiency across various environments. Both AION2 and CINDER CITY will support NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 multi-frame generation technology and NVIDIA Reflex for enhanced responsiveness, providing an optimized gaming experience.
Intel will supply its latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, designed for open-world environments in AION2 and CINDER CITY. The Intel® Core™ Ultra combines a built-in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) with a hybrid core architecture, enabling accelerated AI computation and smoother camera transitions during gameplay. NC also plans to continue working with Intel to introduce a PC version of AION2.
Microsoft will join the event as an official sponsor of NC. The two companies have signed an MOU, and NC has already announced that it will integrate Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and Azure OpenAI technologies into the development of CINDER CITY, expanding collaboration across multiple areas.
Global gaming lifestyle brand RAZER will provide peripherals—keyboards, mice, and headsets — for the demos. RAZER will also sponsor various giveaways for NC’s on-site events at G-STAR to enhance player engagement.
