2024 VivaTech GBSA Gyeonggi Pavilion
Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) announced on the 3rd that they are recruiting 12 companies from the province to participate in "Viva Technology (VivaTech) 2025," which will be held in June.
VivaTech, launched in 2016, is Europe’s largest information and communication technology (ICT) startup event. It attracts over 150,000 visitors and 10,000 companies annually and is a premier global tech conference centered on AI, climate change, deep tech, and other cutting-edge innovations.
GBSA is advancing the "2025 Gyeonggi Digital Manufacturing Supply Technology Globalization Support" initiative to help SMEs with digital technologies expand into European markets.
The 12 selected companies will attend VivaTech, which will be held in Paris, France, from June 11 to 14. They will gain exposure to Europe’s dynamic startup ecosystem.
These companies will receive tailored consulting services, beginning with a strategic assessment of their technology and market potential. This will be followed by business model development and global expansion strategies.
During the exhibition, GBSA will operate the "Gyeonggi DX Zone," showcasing startup technologies and services from the province. The DX Zone will host Buyer and investor consultation meetings, IR pitching sessions with European VCs, One-on-one buyer matching, and Networking with local startups.
This year, a new customized consulting program has been introduced to help participants enter the VivaTech Startup Challenge, a startup competition hosted by global big tech firms.
GBSA President Sungcheon Kang stated, "VivaTech is an excellent opportunity for our companies to showcase their innovative technologies globally. We will continue to support them in securing investments and technological collaborations to drive meaningful results."
Last year, GBSA-supported participants conducted 134 export consultations, generating an estimated $130 million in export negotiations. Additionally, 19 investment discussions were held, amounting to $4.95 million in investment inquiries.
Notably, AI startups have gained significant attention by negotiating investment deals with local venture capital firms and discussing the adoption of AI solutions with global airport corporations and telecom companies.
The application deadline is the 21st. Eligible participants include SMEs in Gyeonggi-do specializing in AI, big data, 5G, and IoT. Interested companies can apply through the Gyeonggi Enterprise Secretary website, and further inquiries should be directed to GBSA’s export marketing team.
