Brain Ventures (CEO Wonhoi Kim), a venture company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) natural language processing, announced on the 23rd that its shares have been newly registered on the KRX Startup Market (KSM).
KSM, a startup support platform operated by the Korea Exchange (KRX), serves as a growth ladder for startups by providing investment opportunities for technologically advanced startups and enabling pre-listing stock transactions.
Brain Ventures is based in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development and the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation. Founded in May 2020 by linguistics Ph.D. Wonhoi Kim, Brain Ventures specializes in AI natural language processing. The company offers automated OCR for webtoons, AI-powered multilingual translation, AI video content automatic translation, AI subjective question grading, and AI-driven product review analysis.

Since its inception, Brain Ventures has leveraged its technological strengths to secure support and funding from various programs, including the 2020 Startup Incubator, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Initial Startup Package, the Small Business Technology Development Program (Step-Up), the Startup Promotion Agency’s Global Acceleration Support Program, the National Information Society Agency’s AI Data Construction Project, the Ministry of Education’s LINC 3.0, the Startup Promotion Agency’s Startup Leap Package (investment-linked), the Small Business Technology Development Program (Global R&D), and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s SME Digital Cooperation Project.
