The Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) debuted at CES 2025, the world’s largest IT and electronics trade show, independently hosting the Gyeonggi-do Pavilion. Collaborating with local governments such as Goyang, Gwangmyeong, Paju, and Hwaseong, as well as Ajou University and Kyung Hee University, GBSA showcased 17 promising startups at the Venetian Expo Eureka Park in Las Vegas.

GBSA provided comprehensive support to ensure the success of participating companies in the global market. This included pre-education, IR pitching mentoring, and on-site IR pitching programs. Practical assistance, such as booth rentals, translation services, and logistics, was also offered to enhance their presence.

SungHo ATEC Showcases AI-Based EVE System for Full Automation in Agriculture

SungHo ATEC Agricultural Corporation, led by CEO Park Sung Ho, is at the forefront of smart farming and AgTech, incorporating AI into agricultural processes. Based in the Gimje Smart Farm Innovation Valley, the company grows strawberries, melons, and tomatoes while continuously collecting real-world data to advance its technologies. SungHo ATEC has also successfully implemented vertical farming modules to mass-produce lion's mane mushrooms and cultivate leafy greens indoors. These practical experiences and data serve as a foundation for advancing agricultural technologies.

The company’s flagship product, the EVE System, automates agricultural management. The system uses advanced sensors and cameras to analyze crop growth in real time and features modular designs tailored to diverse customer needs. With a single charge, the EVE System can operate for over five hours and harvest up to 180kg of fully ripe tomatoes per hour, demonstrating exceptional efficiency.

The EVE System employs phenomics analysis to detect interactions between crop genetics and environmental factors, enabling real-time data analysis to inform operational decisions. It identifies growth inhibitors such as pests, runners, and side shoots while determining optimal harvest timing with precision. Additionally, the system integrates with environmental control systems and weather data to automate nutrient supply and farm management processes. All data is stored on a cloud server, accessible through a farm note format, allowing users to manage farms efficiently from anywhere.

What sets the EVE System apart is its AI-driven decision-making capabilities. The system acquires detailed growth information by mapping labeled data with depth values and automatically manages pest control and harvest timing. This ensures optimal growing conditions, supports the production of high-quality crops, and significantly improves automation, efficiency, and productivity.

SungHo ATEC focuses on providing solutions to farmers to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. The company also offers automated harvesting robots to distributors, enabling them to optimize efficiency and scalability. Government agencies managing high-value crops are another key focus, with the company proposing precision agriculture solutions to support their initiatives.

Climate change and geopolitical factors drive food security concerns, and global demand for agricultural automation technologies is rising. SungHo ATEC plans to enter overseas markets, targeting countries with large farming areas. The company aims to establish partnerships and secure buyers through advanced growth analysis, environmental control, and robotics technologies.

In November 2024, SungHo ATEC demonstrated its technological prowess at the Agricultural Machinery Expo in Daegu. The event attracted significant interest from high-ranking officials, including South Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister and several government ministers. Following the expo, the EVE Clever was displayed at the National Agricultural Museum, marking the first time an agricultural robot was showcased in a South Korean museum.

By integrating AI with agriculture, SungHo ATEC is setting new benchmarks for automation and solidifying its position as a globally recognized leader in AgTech.
