Brain Ventures, a venture specializing in artificial intelligence natural language processing (NLP), announced its selection for the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) initiative, overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The TIPS program supports startups with world-leading technologies, providing up to 700 million KRW in research and development (R&D) funding over two years. Brain Ventures was selected based on a recommendation from TIPS operator CNT Tech.
Founded in May 2020 by Wonhoi Kim, a Ph.D. in linguistics, Brain Ventures offers automated webtoon OCR, AI-powered multilingual translation, automated AI translation for video content, AI subjective test grading, and AI-powered product review analysis.
Wonhoi Kim, CEO of Brain Ventures, expressed his aspirations following the TIPS selection, stating, “With the support from the TIPS program, we will accelerate our technological development to allow global users to enjoy diverse content in multiple languages, particularly focusing on enhancing the webtoon experience for audiences worldwide.”
