Hancom (co-CEOs Sung-Jun Byun and Yeonsu Kim) has officially launched its AI-powered document creation tool, “HANCOM Assistant,” and AI-based question-answering solution, “HANCOM Pedia.”
HANCOM Assistant enables users to create documents by issuing natural language commands. The system analyzes user intent and generates relevant documents using AI models tailored to customer environments, streamlining the document creation process.
Compared to its beta version, HANCOM Assistant offers enhanced usability, allowing even users unfamiliar with writing prompts to select from predefined themes. It supports six categories: business and job-seeking topics such as press releases, table of contents, speech points, greetings, resumes, and personal introductions. A new feature also generates images for documents and supports data-driven document creation when linked with Hancom Cell.
The solution is designed for flexibility and scalability, supporting both cloud-based large language models (LLMs) and secure LLMs (sLLMs) for closed network environments. It integrates with Hancom Office, Web Office, and even Microsoft Office, maximizing workplace productivity.
HANCOM Pedia is a document-based question-answering platform that helps users find essential information within vast data repositories. It features both administrator and user interfaces. Administrators can upload documents, manage projects, set indexing rules, and control access permissions.
Users can search uploaded documents through natural language queries, receiving results based on their permissions. The platform supports web browsers and on-premises environments, handling HWP and PDF file formats. Its core strength lies in its Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) model, which minimizes hallucinations and ensures accurate answers by providing sources for verification. Customizable search settings further enhance the precision of responses.
Hancom CEO Yeonsu Kim stated, “HANCOM Assistant and HANCOM Pedia embody Hancom’s accumulated expertise in document management and AI technology, marking a significant shift in document creation.” He emphasized that after declaring its transition to an AI-driven company last year, Hancom has successfully executed its AI roadmap this year. He expressed high expectations for boosting revenues and profitability starting next year through the continued enhancement of its AI solutions. He concluded, “We will focus on positioning these products as essential services for public institutions and enterprise clients, meeting their evolving office productivity needs.”
