Nexon (Co-CEOs Dae-hyun Kang and Jung-wook Kim) announced on December 4 that its subsidiary, Nexon Games (CEO Yonghyun Park), has received a PlayStation Partner Award 2024 for its new looter-shooter game, The First Descendant.
Organized by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), the PlayStation Partner Awards annually honor the best PlayStation games developed in Japan and Asia that achieved global success. The First Descendant was recognized with the “Partner Award” for ranking among the top global revenue generators in six award categories.
The First Descendant is a next-generation global looter-shooter featuring high-quality visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5 and dynamic gunplay. It combines cooperative shooting action (CO-OP) with engaging RPG elements that enhance the player experience. Since its release, 70% of its user base has been from North America and Europe, with approximately 60% of its gameplay on console platforms, marking it as a globally successful multi-platform title.
