Naver Pay (operated by Naver Financial, CEO Sang-jin Park) has introduced a new “Pet Insurance Comparison and Recommendation” service, which allows users to compare insurance plans tailored for pets easily.
The service partners with insurers offering long-term pet insurance with coverage periods of over three years, enabling users to compare various plans’ coverage and pricing at a glance. Users can customize their preferences for subscription period, coverage ratio, deductibles, and daily maximum medical expenses to receive tailored recommendations for their pets. Clicking on a recommended plan reveals detailed coverage information, such as daily surgical costs, annual medical and surgical expenses, death benefits, and coverage for conditions like patellar luxation, skin diseases, and oral issues.
This service is integrated with Naver Shopping’s “Naver Pet,” allowing users with registered pets to auto-fill details such as age, neuter status, and breed for a seamless experience. Users who haven’t registered their pets can manually input details like name, age, gender, and specific conditions such as pet registration, adoption from shelters, or nose print registration, which can impact premiums. The service supports up to 15 pets, catering to households with multiple animals. Additionally, breed-specific disease information will soon be provided as content.
Naver Pay ensures that prices offered through its platform are identical to those on each insurer’s website, enhancing consumer choice. Launch partners include leading insurers: Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, DB Insurance, and KB Insurance. Naver Pay plans to expand partnerships as the pet insurance market grows.
To celebrate the launch, Naver Pay is offering a 30,000-point welcome bonus for new policies purchased through the platform. Details about the promotion and service are available by searching “Naver Pay Pet Insurance” on Naver or navigating to the “Pet Insurance Comparison” section under the “Finance” menu in the Naver Pay app.
