Smilegate Entertainment (CEO Ina Jang) announced the participating teams and detailed schedule for the prestigious CROSSFIRE STARS (CFS) 2024 Grand Finals on November 28.
After four years, the CFS Grand Finals, held offline last year in Chengdu, China, will be held in Hangzhou, one of China’s ancient capitals, famed as "Heaven on Earth." This is the first time the CFS will be held in Hangzhou. The competition will run from December 4 to December 15, featuring a total prize pool of $1.43 million. The tournament format includes group and knockout stages, playoffs, and finals, spanning 12 days.
The CFS 2024 Grand Finals will feature 16 teams from regions including China, EUMENA, North America, Brazil, Vietnam, and the Philippines, marking an increase of four teams compared to last year. This is the first time in six years, since 2018, that 16 teams will participate in the Grand Finals.
Several teams are making their debut at the Grand Finals this year. Notable newcomers include Vietnam’s Team Alotus and NEXTTOP, EUMENA’s unKnights, and Brazil’s ANTISOCIAL TEAM. Fans are eager to see how these new contenders will perform on the grand stage.
Returning teams include Chengdu ALL GAMERS from China, Imperial, and Vasco Esports from Brazil, RANKING ESPORTS and WOLF EMPIRE from Vietnam, 3BL Esports from EUMENA, LCK, and Swamp Gaming (formerly Kungarna) from North America. These teams have consistently competed in the Grand Finals, and their return is highly anticipated.
Additionally, the event will welcome back seasoned teams and players, such as Q9 E-Sports Club from China, Evolution Power Gaming featuring legendary player Ma Zhe (“MZiN”), and SGJ REBORN from the Philippines, whose participation after a hiatus has delighted fans.
