Third Works (CEO Minji Kim) is a startup developing AI-based enterprise import management solutions. On November 13, at the 2024 GovTech Startup Competition finals, held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, it won the Minister of Science and ICT (MSIT) Excellence Award.

The competition, co-hosted by MSIT and the Presidential Committee of Digital Platform Government and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), aimed to discover promising companies with creative technological solutions and to propose new models for public-private cooperation aligned with the vision of a digital platform government.

Third Works, based in the Pangyo Startup Zone - founded by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development(KISED) and Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation(GCCEI), integrates domestic and international public big data with AI technology to provide businesses with innovative services for sourcing and managing imported raw materials. Their efforts earned them the top award in the product and service development category.

Specializing in supply chain risk management solutions, Third Works employs AI-driven deep learning to analyze specifications for raw materials used in final products, supporting the discovery of alternative supply chains. In January, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seoul Northeast Business Development Association, furthering its commitment to supply chain innovation.

Through pilot projects, Third Works assists companies needing alternative or diversified supply chains by using big data to recommend and match raw materials with similar specifications. The company also monitors market transactions, allowing businesses to manage supply chain risks proactively.

Minji Kim, CEO of Third Works, stated, “Winning this competition motivates us to accelerate the development of solutions that enable customized raw material sourcing and streamline contract and document management. With a team of trade experts, we plan to commercialize our trade-focused solution soon through beta services.”
