On October 17, Nexon (co-CEOs Jung-wook Kim and Dae-hyun Kang) announced the soft launch of its platform, MapleStory Worlds, in the Americas.

‘MapleStory Worlds’ allows anyone to create, share, and play their own unique ‘world’ using the extensive resources from ‘MapleStory.’ Following its official launch in South Korea in April, the platform is now available on PC for users in North and South America, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, through this soft launch.

With this expansion, creators can showcase their worlds to a larger audience and generate more revenue. At the same time, players can explore and interact with worlds from different regions, free from geographic restrictions.

To support this global launch, ‘MapleStory Worlds’ has introduced an ‘auto-translate API’ feature to facilitate world creation and play for users worldwide. Additionally, creators can now choose the countries where their world will be displayed, and a beta version for Mac users is also available, offering more versatile play experiences.

Minseok Shin, the Director of MapleStory Worlds, expressed, “We are excited to present MapleStory Worlds to a global audience and hope that amazing content and fun experiences will spread far and wide through this interaction. We plan to expand to Europe and Asia gradually by 2025, and we ask for your support as we grow into a global platform.”
