Nexon Games (CEO Yong Hyun Park) has announced a concentrated recruitment drive for its ‘Magnum Studio’ to bolster the live service and development capabilities of its next-gen looter-shooter game, The First Descendant. To facilitate this effort, the company has launched a dedicated recruitment microsite.
Positions are available in various development fields, including programming (client, server, engine), development project management, game planning, background modeling, background art, cinematic direction, animation, effects, lighting artist, character modeling, and character art. Applicants with the required skill sets for each role can apply without educational background or age restrictions.
The dedicated microsite offers detailed information about The First Descendant and includes job postings, FAQs, and an application page for Magnum Studio. The hiring process involves document screening, preliminary tests (for some roles), and interviews, with certain positions requiring an additional task-based assessment. This recruitment campaign will continue throughout 2024 and 2025, with specific timelines listed in individual job postings.
PD Beomjun Lee of Magnum Studio emphasized, “This recruitment drive aims to enhance The First Descendant’s live service capabilities and deliver an improved gameplay experience. We are committed to strengthening game content and design while paying closer attention to valuable user feedback.”
