Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi-do Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) announced on the 13th that they are collaborating with Naver Cloud to recruit participants for the ‘Naver Cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialist Training Program.’
The ‘AI Specialist Training Program’ aims to cultivate local AI experts by providing them with the latest AI technologies and practical experience.
The training leverages Naver’s massive AI model, Hyper CLOVA X, for practical, job-centered learning. Hyper CLOVA X, a large-scale language model with over 200 billion parameters, is used to develop high-performance AI services specialized in Korean.
The training, conducted in stages, including pre-online training, face-to-face training, and real-time online sessions, will run from October 7th to December 6th, totaling approximately two months. The curriculum includes 300 hours of instruction, and the aim is to enroll 20 students.
The pre-online training (64 hours) covers fundamentals like Python basics, data structures, and algorithms essential for AI learning.
During the face-to-face training (96 hours), students engage in hands-on learning with data preprocessing, machine learning algorithms, deep learning model design and implementation, and project exercises using Hyper CLOVA X.
The real-time online training (140 hours) addresses topics applicable to professional settings, such as big data analysis, advanced machine learning, ChatGPT and prompt engineering, and AI model optimization and deployment.
Participants will experience practical exercises similar to real corporate environments using the Naver Cloud Hyper CLOVA X platform.
Various employment-linked activities are supported throughout the course, including tours of Naver Cloud offices, subsidies for AI certification exam fees, and project presentations.
The target audience for recruitment includes Gyeonggi-do residents or graduates (or expected graduates) of universities in Gyeonggi-do under 39 years old who are interested in cloud and AI. Recruitment is open for 20 participants until the 20th, with entrance tests and offline interviews scheduled for the end of September. Preference is given to applicants with basic programming skills, such as Python.
Kang Sungcheon, Director of GBSA, stated, “Through this training program, young people in Gyeonggi-do will learn the latest AI technologies and gain practical experience in real corporate environments, growing into AI specialists. As AI technology becomes an increasingly important industrial driver, Gyeonggi-do and GBSA are committed to customized talent cultivation aligned with this trend.”
