Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator hosts 'Pan-gyo x Singapore: Bridging Innovations', an online meeting for Pangyo startups to expand into Singapore
 

The Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator (hereinafter referred to as GBSA, Chairman Kang Seong-cheon) held ‘Pan-gyo x Singapore: Bridging Innovations’ on September 26 at the Pangyo Creative Economy Innovation Center as an online event to support innovative startups in Pangyo to go global.

As a networking event to help innovative startups leverage the global competitiveness of Pangyo Techno Valley to go global, Singaporean experts Jeff Lin of iGlobe Partners, Jean Yeow of Golden Equator Capital, Kishore Ravichandran of Plug and Play Ventures, Mistletoe, Inc. Jeremy A. Sim of Plug and Play Ventures, Cindy Teoh of Golden Equator Ventures, and Eugene Noh of KAIST Holdings, formerly of the National University of Singapore’s Entrepreneurship Center (NUS Enterprise), joined us online.

Lee Sun-woong, CEO of Cloudike, an innovative startup in Pangyo Techno Valley that provides SaaS-based cloud storage services for businesses; Cho Min-soo, CEO of Pitch Interactive, which operates the global sports entertainment platform ‘PIE’; Park Myung-kyu, CEO of Hills Robotics, a company specializing in robot development; Jung Hyun-wook, CEO of beSUCCESS; and a representative from the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator participated.

Lee Sun-woong, CEO of Cloudike, which operates B2B cloud services, said that Cloudike has its own competitiveness in the global cloud market with security and speed, and based on this, it is currently preparing to enter global markets such as Japan and Indonesia. Min-soo Cho, CEO of Pitch Interactive, explained that it is a platform for fans to communicate and cheer in a metaverse space during global esports matches, which is a service that is differentiated from existing sports media platforms and a new paradigm service. Through the actual demo video, he showed the fans cheering directly to the fans through their avatars during the game. Park Myung-gyu, CEO of Hills Robotics, a startup specializing in robots, introduced the logistics, disinfection, and guidance robots developed and revealed that they have won CES awards for three consecutive years and that the disinfection robot has been qualified for procurement in the US state of Massachusetts, and is in the process of signing an agreement with an Israeli company to introduce AI technology.

“In promoting Pangyo Techno Valley startups overseas, we will continue to provide opportunities to introduce innovative startups in Pangyo through direct meetings with global VCs and actively support startups to grow into global companies,” said Kang Sung-cheon, head of the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator will also hold an online meeting with global experts in October to help Pangyo startups enter overseas markets.
