The Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (President Kang Seong-cheon), is set to host a transformative online event, scheduled for September 26th at 10:00 KST. This event represents a significant milestone in the agency’s global startup support initiatives, offering a platform for innovative startups in Pangyo Techno Valley to attract investments and benefit from invaluable mentoring sessions.
Pangyo Techno Valley, a burgeoning hub for technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, is home to a vibrant community of innovative startups. Some of the noteworthy participants include Cloudike, led by CEO Sun Ung Lee, offering a cutting-edge SaaS-type corporate cloud storage service. Pitch Interactive, under the leadership of CEO Min-soo Cho, operates the global sports entertainment platform known as ‘PIE.’ Hills Robotics, headed by CEO Myeong-soo Park, specializes in advanced robot development.
International Support from Esteemed Venture Capital Firms
This event will have participation from influential figures in the global venture capital landscape. Notable figures include Jeff Lin of iGlobe Partners, Jean Yeow of Golden Equator Capital, and Kishore Ravichandran of Plug and Play Ventures. Also contributing their expertise are Jeremy A. Sim of Mistletoe, Inc., and former Entrepreneurship Center of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise) Eugene Noh, currently of KAIST Holdings.
The event, moderated by Hyunwook Jeong, CEO of startup media group beSUCCESS, will provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration between Pangyo Techno Valley startups and global venture capital firms. The primary objective is to explore strategies for Pangyo startups to expand into the Asian and global markets, leveraging the Singapore market as a pivotal stepping stone.
Kang Seong-cheon, director of the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Following the success of previous Silicon Valley and networking events, we plan to use this event to help Pangyo startups utilize the Singapore market as a springboard to advance into the Asian and global markets.”

In addition to this event, the Gyeonggi Provincial Economic and Science Promotion Agency recently facilitated an online interaction between Pangyo innovative startups and Silicon Valley venture capital on September 6th. This initiative included comprehensive startup coverage, interviews, and the creation of Korean and English articles to promote these startups on a global scale. The agency also supported video content production, extending an open invitation to companies in both Pangyo 1 and Pangyo 2 to participate in this forward-thinking project.
As Pangyo Techno Valley continues to solidify its reputation as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, events like these play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, attracting investments, and ultimately propelling South Korean startups onto the global stage.
